This school was established as GPS Mang Haripur in 1915 and started its working in local hujra.In 1920 two rooms were built by district Education board. On self help basis in 1944-45 three rooms with veranda built by community. In 1952-53 two more rooms were built by community. With this alteration school raised to the standered of lower middle,In 1975 with the induction of four rooms school was upgraded to GHS Mang,

In 2006, under rehabilitation scheme of earth quaick affected schools, Rs. 7.9 millions allocated  but building constructed at Khanpur road about 1000 meters away from this building but it is controversial and a court case.Still this school waited rehabalitation,
