Proctorial Board:

Proctorial system:

           The institute has a Proctorial Board, which helps the principal in enforcing the school & college discipline. It consists of members of the Personnel and students monitors and is headed by a Chief Proctor. Every year students having good qualities are selected as proctors. To maintain strict disciplinary standards on the schools sections & college, the Proctorial Board has to play a major role in official and social gatherings and whenever it is required. The rules framed by the institute are binding on every student.

 

Duties of Proctorial Monitors:

           To maintain strict disciplinary standard on the schools sections & college, the Proctorial Monitors have to perform the duties assigned to them without asking for any exclusive privileges from the institute. They should be cheerful and helpful to all. The main duties of the Proctorial Monitors are:

a)      They will be present at all schools & college functions and they are required to see that the principle of decency and proper behavior is observed.

b)      They will be on duty in their vacant periods to see that the schools & college rules are properly observed by the students.

c)       They will make regular patrols of the school sections & college at hours to be arranged by the Chief Proctor.

d)      Proctorial Monitors are required to observe the rules of courtesy themselves.

e)      They are required to assist in maintaining a high standard of discipline and gentlemanly behavior in general.

 f)      They are required to check and report the students who are:

 

a.     Without uniform and Identity card in the School & College.

 

b.     Smoking in the institute premises.

 

c.     Pasting stickers or writing slogans anywhere in the schools, college and hostel.

 

d.     Without permission chit of their respective wardens outside the hostel.

 

e.     Carrying weapons of any kind within and outside the schools & college.

 

f.      Picking fruits and plucking flowers in the institute and hostel.

 

g.      Pasting notices on the School Notice Board, walls, trees, hostel gates

 

         without prior permission of from the principal/ Chief Proctor.

 

h.       Using the school or college balcony for speeches.

 

Discipline Committee:

        The Principal nominates two to five members of the teaching staff to work as members of the committee. The Proctorial Board sends its recommendations pertaining to cases of indiscipline to this committee. It looks into the cases thoroughly and either gives its decision or sends its recommendations to the principal.

 

 

General Discipline

The institute prides itself on its standard of discipline and every student is expected at all times to maintain the traditions of the school, as the development of a healthy personality is a paramount aim of the school, every effort is made to ensure that the student develop good habits and a clean character.

 

STRICT DISCIPLINARY ACTION WILL BE TAKEN AGAINST THE DEFAULTERS

• Students shall pay due respect to the teaching and other staff and to fellow students.             

• Students who wish to contact the Principal/ Chief Proctor/ C. Exam must do so individually.      

• Student must come to the school & college neat, clean, with proper hair-cut and proper uniform; otherwise they may not be allowed to attend the institute.                                                                

• Students should reach the institute at least five minutes before the morning assembly. Latecomers are not allowed/ may be marked absent.                                                                                   

• Between the morning bell for assembly and last bell for dispersal, no student must leave the school premises except with prior permission from the Principal or Chief Proctor.                             

• Parents or visitors are not allowed to meet the students during the class hours.
• Students who remain absent without leave for six consecutive days are struck off the school-roll, re-admission is at the Principal’s disposal.
• Always carry School & College Identity Card & produce the same on demand.                         

• 75% attendance is compulsory for the student to sit in the examination.

• Rowdyism & indecent behaviors make a student liable to expulsion or heavy fine.                   

• Students should refrain from keeping firearms or knives in their possession.                          

• All kinds of tours, if allowed by the Principal, should be arranged in vacations.                        

• No unauthorized game is to be played in the institute premises.                                           

 

The institute reserves the right to make, amend & introduce any rule as and when deemed appropriate.
