Government Higher Secondary School Kishawra Swat founded as a primary school in 1955. Its rank was raised to a Middle School 1979. Then after a short span of four years, it obtained the status of high school in1983. Latter on it was upgraded to higher secondary level in 2004. During the period of darkness and anarchy in the valley of Swat, it was razed to ground in 2009 by unknown miscreants. Due to the sincere efforts of the education department and some non-governmental organizations (NGO's), both the portions of the building were re-established in 2012 and 2013 concurrently. The newly constructed building of Government Higher Secondary School Kishawra Swat was inaugurated in August 2013 after a magnificent ceremony being participated by the high authorities from the education department and donor agencies.
Government Higher Secondary school Kishawra is located on the bank of road leading to Malam jabba, which is the most famous attractive site of swat. Standing in the midst of mountains, not only it is an embodiment of good climate, but it also provides an easy access to the students of surrounding areas, including Shaltalo, Amnovi, Speni oba, Ser, Charbagh and Manglor.
